Origins and growth

POLSECURE was established to give Poland's uniformed services a dedicated national platform for evaluating equipment and engaging with technology suppliers. The first edition was held in 2020, with subsequent editions in 2022 and 2024. Each edition has expanded in scope and attendance. By the 4th edition in 2026, the fair had evolved from a primarily domestic police procurement event into a broader security and resilience platform, adding the STRATEXPO civil protection and strategic reserves salon and attracting foreign delegations from across Central and Eastern Europe.

The 2026 edition: resilience and state security

The 4th POLSECURE took place 21-23 April 2026 at Targi Kielce, gathering 219 exhibitors and institutions from 17 countries over three days, with over 6,000 professional visitors. Key thematic additions for 2026 included the debut of STRATEXPO, a co-located salon on civil protection and strategic reserves organised in partnership with the Government Agency for Strategic Reserves (RARS). The main conference programme, anchored by the National Police Headquarters, addressed contemporary security threats, state resilience, the role of the police in a changing geopolitical environment, AI applications for law enforcement, railway security and online child safety. Live demonstrations by the State Protection Service (SOP), Bureau of Counter Terrorist Operations (BOA), Border Guard and State Fire Service were a prominent feature. WB Group was the strategic partner of the 2026 edition.

Where POLSECURE sits in the defence calendar

POLSECURE occupies a distinct niche as the only large-format trade fair in Poland dedicated specifically to police and public safety procurement. It complements the broader defence exhibition MSPO (International Defence Industry Exhibition), also held at Targi Kielce in September (the next MSPO is 8-11 September 2026). Together the two Kielce events form the backbone of the Polish security procurement calendar. POLSECURE's biennial rhythm (even years) and MSPO's annual rhythm make Kielce the dominant European venue for Central European defence and security procurement in 2026.

Who attends POLSECURE

Visitors. Commanding officers and equipment managers from the Polish National Police, Border Guard, State Fire Service, State Protection Service, Prison Service, Railway Protection Service, Road Transport Inspection, Territorial Defence Forces and the Government Agency for Strategic Reserves. Foreign delegations from other Central and Eastern European services also attend. IT and procurement directors from critical infrastructure operators form a secondary audience.

Exhibitors. Polish and international suppliers of police and security equipment, including personal protective equipment, communications and command-and-control systems, CBRN detection and protection, non-lethal weapons, surveillance and drone technology, cyber security, medical equipment, armoured vehicles and fire-fighting technology. The 2026 exhibitor list included WB Group (PGZ subsidiary), Rohde and Schwarz, Enigma, Draeger, Rosenbauer, Land Rover, Synology and dozens of Polish specialist suppliers.

What the POLSECURE format includes

Exhibition halls. Indoor display space for equipment in categories ranging from tactical communications to medical intervention kits. Live equipment demonstrations on the outdoor demonstration area allow services to conduct realistic operational scenarios.

Live demonstrations. Uniformed services stage operational simulations throughout the three days: tactical entry, bomb disposal, hostage rescue, civil emergency response. The 2026 edition featured joint demonstrations by SOP, BOA, the Border Guard and the State Fire Service.

International Police Conference. The flagship conference programme, organised by the National Police Headquarters, runs across all three days. The 2026 programme covered state resilience, digital threats, sports heritage (100 years of police sport), and child online safety.

STRATEXPO (from 2026). A co-located salon on civil protection and strategic reserves, organised with RARS. Covers strategic reserve systems, crisis preparedness and inter-agency cooperation.

Exhibitors' Contest. Products and solutions judged by a jury of security professionals; awards presented at a gala ceremony on the final day.

The 2026 edition in numbers (organiser-declared)

The venue: Targi Kielce Exhibition and Congress Centre

Targi Kielce is a major international exhibition centre located at ul. Zakladowa 1, 25-672 Kielce, Poland. The complex covers multiple indoor exhibition halls and outdoor demonstration areas. It is accessible by:

• Road: direct access via expressways; Kielce is roughly 7 hours from Berlin, 6 hours from Prague and Vienna, 5.5 hours from Bratislava.
• Rail: Kielce main station is a short distance from the fairground.
• Air: Seven international airports within a 2-hour drive, including Warsaw Chopin (WAW), Krakow (KRK) and Katowice (KTW).

A new exhibition hall is under construction at Targi Kielce and was expected to be ready for the MSPO 2026 fair in September.

Targi Kielce S.A. is a publicly listed Polish trade fair company headquartered at the Kielce fairground. It organises over 30 international trade fairs annually across sectors including defence, security, agriculture, construction and industry. Its flagship defence event is MSPO (International Defence Industry Exhibition), held annually in September. POLSECURE is co-organised with the National Police Headquarters (Komenda Glowna Policji). First time at POLSECURE? How to prepare

• Register in advance as a professional visitor. The event is closed to the general public; bring proof of your professional role or institution. Registration is free for qualified professionals but confirmation in advance is required to gain access to the fairground.
• Prioritise the live demonstrations. The outdoor operational demos by uniformed services are a highlight unique to POLSECURE and rarely seen at technology trade fairs. Arrive early on opening day to secure good viewing positions; the demonstrations run to a published schedule.
• Study the conference programme before you arrive. With 10 panels and conferences across three days, including the flagship International Police Conference, the programme is dense. Identify the sessions most relevant to your role and plan your day around them, as some run simultaneously in separate halls.
• Bring Polish-language capability or a colleague who has it. Most on-site signage and a large proportion of conference content is in Polish. International exhibitors and government delegations are accustomed to English, but smaller Polish suppliers may not have English-speaking staff available.
• Plan for the STRATEXPO zone. If your interests include civil protection, crisis preparedness or strategic reserves, allocate time to the STRATEXPO area within the fair. It is a separate zone with its own programme of workshops and expert panels, not covered by the main POLSECURE conference programme.
