Definition

Space Tech Expo Europe is the largest business-to-business space exhibition in Europe, held annually in Bremen. The 2026 edition runs from 17 to 19 November at Messe Bremen and is the eighth edition in the city. The show is owned and delivered by Smarter Shows, part of Informa Markets. The 2025 edition, marking ten years since the launch, reported more than 950 exhibiting companies and over 10,000 attendees, with four conference programmes and more than 200 speakers. The exhibition covers civil, military and commercial space, with a strong supply chain and manufacturing focus.

What Space Tech Expo Europe is for

This is where space programmes are sourced. A satellite manufacturer looking for radiation-hardened components, a launch company looking for composite structures, a constellation operator looking for ground station capacity: all of them walk this floor. The exhibitor mix runs from the European primes and national agencies down to specialist machine shops, materials suppliers, connector manufacturers, test houses and software providers. National and regional pavilions are a defining feature, with clusters from Germany, France, the United Kingdom, Switzerland, Italy and the Nordic states presenting their supplier bases together.

Who attends

How the event is structured

The exhibition halls carry the event. Four conference programmes run alongside, covering commercial space business, technology and engineering, defence and security applications, and the supply chain itself. Free business-to-business matchmaking is offered in cooperation with the Enterprise Europe Network, which suits the small and medium suppliers who make up much of the visitor base. Bremen itself presents through a City of Space stand run by the local aerospace cluster and the city economic development agency.

Why Bremen

Bremen is a genuine space manufacturing city, with Airbus Defence and Space, OHB, the ESA-linked research base and a dense supplier cluster in and around it. Holding the exhibition there puts it inside the industrial concentration it serves, which is why the show has stayed in the city for eight editions and why local institutions invest in its presence.

FAQ · Identity and audience

Is Space Tech Expo Europe an engineering or a business event?

Engineering and procurement first. The conference programmes cover commercial and defence topics, but the reason to attend is the supply chain on the floor.

How does it differ from World Space Business Week?

Completely. Paris in September is a few hundred executives in hotel rooms setting commercial direction with no exhibition. Bremen in November is a manufacturing floor with hundreds of exhibitors and thousands of engineers.

Is there a US equivalent?

The organiser runs Space Tech Expo USA as a separate event with its own supplier base. The European edition serves the European supply chain.

The organiser: Smarter Shows

Smarter Shows, part of Informa Markets, owns and delivers the Space Tech Expo family. The event launched in Bremen in 2015 with around 100 exhibitors and has grown roughly tenfold since.

Editorial take

Europe's space supply chain in one hall, the show where a satellite programme finds its connectors, its composites and its test facility.

How to register and what it costs

Visitor registration runs through the official website. Previous editions have offered free exhibition entry to registered trade visitors, with paid passes for parts of the conference programme. Business-to-business matchmaking through the Enterprise Europe Network is offered without charge. Exhibitor and pavilion packages are quoted by Smarter Shows, and the national pavilions are typically organised by regional agencies with subsidised participation for small suppliers.
