Four-day European private capital conference at the Hotel Okura Amsterdam, 3 to 6 November 2026, bringing together 1,500-plus institutional investors, fund managers and advisers from more than 50 countries. Known as SuperInvestor until the June 2025 rebrand.
SuperReturn Europe is the annual European private capital conference organised by Informa Connect, gathering institutional limited partners, general partners, placement agents and service providers for four days of content sessions, specialist summits and structured one-to-one meetings. The event carried the name SuperInvestor from its launch until June 2025, when Informa Connect renamed it ahead of its 25th edition to signal its European focus and its place inside the wider SuperReturn series. The 2026 edition runs from Tuesday 3 to Friday 6 November at the Hotel Okura Amsterdam and functions as the principal autumn fundraising checkpoint on the EMEA private capital circuit, covering buyout, private debt, secondaries, co-investment and lower mid-market strategies.
SuperReturn Europe 2026 opens on Tuesday 3 November with a specialist summits day running three concurrent tracks, then continues with three main conference days on 4, 5 and 6 November. The three summits on the opening day are the Fundraising Summit, covering cross-border fundraising, co-investments, independent deal sponsors, private wealth and retail investors; the Pan-European Exchange Summit, a region-by-region format comparing Western European markets, Benelux innovation and Central and Eastern European opportunities; and the Private Debt Summit, covering direct lending, asset-backed lending, specialty finance, distressed debt and evergreen funds.
A fourth strand, SuperReturn Family Office Europe, runs on 5 November at the same venue as a co-located event. It is free to attend but restricted by qualification to family office principals, next-generation family members and investment executives from single family offices, who must apply to the organiser rather than register directly.
Main-stage content on 4 November opens with keynotes and panels on macroeconomic conditions and the European private markets outlook, with sessions on lower mid-market momentum, LP allocation perspectives, liquidity, exit routes and impact investing. Informa Connect has not published an overarching strapline or headline theme for the 2026 edition; the programme is organised by strategy track rather than around a single editorial line.
The event ran as SuperInvestor for its first 24 editions. On 16 June 2025 Informa Connect announced the rename to SuperReturn Europe, timed to the 25th edition. Dorothy Kelso, Managing Director of SuperReturn, framed the change as an identity catching up with what the conference had become after a quarter of a century in European private capital (Business Wire, 16 June 2025).
The rename matters for anyone reconciling historical figures, because the event also moved cities in that period. The 2024 edition, still branded SuperInvestor, was held at the Grimaldi Forum in Monte Carlo from 5 to 8 November 2024, the first time the conference left Amsterdam, and the organiser projected a larger crowd for it: 2,500-plus attendees, 700-plus LPs and 1,400-plus GPs. The 2025 edition returned to the Hotel Okura Amsterdam on 4 to 7 November under the new name, with the smaller and more European profile the current figures describe. Attendance numbers quoted for the Monaco year therefore do not apply to the Amsterdam editions, and the two should not be blended. Informa Connect has not published an edition number for 2026, so the 25th-edition marker belongs to 2025 only.
Some organiser pages still carry the legacy branding: the press guidelines page, for instance, refers to the event as SuperInvestor and redirects from the old informaconnect.com/superinvestor/ path remain live.
Informa Connect advertises more than 200 speaker perspectives across the four days. Confirmed names published on the speaker page include:
| Name | Role | Organisation |
|---|---|---|
| Thomas Friedberger | Deputy CEO and Co-CIO | Tikehau Capital |
| Imogen Richards | Partner, Head of European Primaries | Pantheon |
| Daniel Leith | Head of Private Equity | Pension Protection Fund |
| Marieke van Kamp | Head of Private Markets | NN Group |
| Ellen van den Broek | Portfolio Manager Private Markets | LGPS Central |
| Andrea Serra | Chief Operating Officer, Strategic Equity | ICG |
| Marleen Dijkstra | Managing Director, Primary Fund Investments | Carlyle AlpInvest |
| Sofie Kulp-Tåg | Investment Director | Skandia |
The documented areas of coverage across the summits and the main conference are European buyout deal flow and exits, fundraising and LP allocation, private debt and direct lending, secondaries and GP-led transactions, lower mid-market dynamics, co-investment, private wealth and retail access, evergreen and semi-liquid structures, independent deal sponsors, and the effect of data and AI tools on deal sourcing. Full session titles are published progressively on the agenda page through the autumn.
Informa Connect states that roughly one delegate in three is a limited partner, that 76 per cent of LPs and 80 per cent of GPs hold C-level, partner or director titles, and that the 2025 audience was about 85 per cent European. The named participant base spans four groups:
Geographic spread is one of the organiser's stated selling points: fewer than a third of the LPs come from any single country, with the Netherlands, Western Europe and Northern Europe the densest sources.
The one-to-one meeting programme is the reason most senior delegates attend, and the content agenda largely exists to give those conversations a shared reference point. Informa Connect reports more than 45,000 face-to-face meetings across the four days. Scheduling runs through ConnectMe, the official networking platform, which is the named system for requesting and confirming bilateral meetings.
Access to the attendee directory is time-gated rather than open: the full list becomes available on the Connect platform exactly three weeks before the first main conference day, with a preliminary snapshot of prominent attendees visible earlier. Delegates buying the Specialist Summits Day pass alone do not receive networking app or attendee list access, which is the practical difference between the cheapest ticket and the two conference packages.
Qualified institutional LPs attend at no cost through an application handled by Informa Connect. The organiser publishes the eligibility contours: qualifying organisation types include development finance institutions, endowments, foundations, insurance companies, pension funds and sovereign wealth funds, alongside banks, corporate investors, investment consultants, registered investment advisers, single family offices and wealth managers; applicants must sit on the investment team with a primary focus on investing in GP funds; and a maximum of three complimentary passes is granted per organisation. LP applications are routed to Alex Raeside at lpsuperreturneurope@informa.com.

The 2026 co-sponsor tier is made up of Ares, Egan Jones, Global PE Alliance, The Riverside Company and Triton Investment Advisers. Ares also sponsors the Private Debt Summit and Egan Jones takes the badge sponsorship. The associate sponsor tier is considerably wider than in previous years and now includes Addepar, Alpine Investors, Bridgepoint, Cerberus, Charlesbank, General Atlantic, ICG, Latour Capital, Main Capital Partners, Naxicap, Paul Weiss, Pollen Street, PSG and Tikehau. PitchBook exhibits, Preqin (a part of BlackRock) is the data partner and Gregory is the PR agency partner.
Beyond the commercial tiers, Informa Connect lists more than 25 endorsing industry associations, including AIMA, the BVCA, the CVCA and AIFI, and 26 media partners. Sponsorship enquiries go to Hannah Postlethwaite on sponsorsuperreturn@informa.com or +44 (0) 7385 005 011; general delegate support runs through gfsupport@informa.com. Sponsorship and exhibition rate cards are not publicly disclosed.
The September-to-November stretch is the densest part of the private capital circuit, and Amsterdam has become one of its three anchor cities alongside Paris and London. The season opens in Paris with IPEM Global in early September, then moves north: SuperReturn's own CFO/COO forum takes the Hotel Okura on 5 to 7 October, the Invest Europe Venture Capital Forum follows in the same city on 14 and 15 October, and SuperReturn Europe closes the Amsterdam run in the first week of November.
That ordering matters for anyone budgeting travel. By early November most European GPs have already had their first pass at Q4 allocation conversations, so SuperReturn Europe functions less as a first contact point than as the meeting where autumn conversations are converted or parked until the new year. Within the SuperReturn series itself, the European autumn slot is distinct from SuperReturn International in Berlin, which is the global June flagship, and from the strategy-specific London events such as SuperReturn Private Credit Europe. A full view of what else is running in the same window sits on the upcoming events page.
Two variables do most of the work: the ratio of LPs to GPs, and the seniority of both. A conference where one delegate in three is an allocator and three quarters of those allocators are partners or above produces a different meeting yield from an event with a thinner LP layer, which is why GP delegate pricing holds at the level it does. The complimentary LP programme is the mechanism behind that ratio, and the three-pass cap per organisation is what keeps a single large institution from absorbing the free allocation.
The second differentiator is the summit structure. Rather than running the specialist content as separate paid conferences on separate dates, Informa Connect stacks fundraising, pan-European regional and private debt tracks into the day before the main programme, so a delegate with a defined strategy mandate gets depth without a second trip. The trade-off is visible in the pricing: the summits-only ticket is cheap but deliberately excludes the networking layer, so the summit day works as an add-on to the conference rather than a standalone product.
Public evidence of press activity around SuperReturn Europe falls into three confirmed strands.
Corporate announcement coverage. The June 2025 rename from SuperInvestor to SuperReturn Europe was distributed through Business Wire on 16 June 2025 and picked up by named outlets including DutchNews.nl, which republished the announcement in full with the 25th-edition framing and the Dorothy Kelso quote (DutchNews.nl). Earlier editions were announced the same way, including the 2024 move to Monaco, distributed via Business Wire and PR Newswire in January 2024.
Trade-press partnership. Informa Connect runs a formal media partner programme with 26 named partners for 2026, weighted toward private markets trade titles and industry bodies rather than general business press: Opalesque, PitchBook, Private Equity Magazine, Private Markets 360, Top1000funds, Funds Society, FundsPeople, BeBeez, Venture Capital Magazine, ILPA and ELFA among them. These are partnership placements, not independent editorial coverage, and should be read as such.
Accredited on-site press. The event operates a press accreditation process with published criteria: media must present identification confirming affiliation with print, broadcast or recognised digital media, and freelancers must supply a letter of assignment or letter of intent from the outlet they represent. The organiser reserves the right to cap the number of press badges issued to any single outlet, and professional filming or photography inside conference and networking areas requires prior arrangement.
The number of accredited journalists, the badge cap and any measure of coverage volume are not publicly disclosed. No post-event editorial reporting from general business media on the Amsterdam editions was located in public sources during this review, which is consistent with an event whose sessions run under restrictive filming rules and whose value sits in private meetings rather than announcements.
The Hotel Okura Amsterdam sits at Ferdinand Bolstraat 333 in the De Pijp district, south of the historic centre. It is a five-star property with a conference wing that supplies the room count the event needs: a main auditorium, breakout rooms for the three parallel summits, and smaller spaces for the bilateral meeting programme. The hotel has hosted this conference in most of its Amsterdam years, and returned as the venue in 2025 after the Monaco edition.
Transport is straightforward. Tram and metro connections reach Amsterdam Centraal and Schiphol airport directly, valet parking is available on site at a reduced conference rate, and the hotel has a private jetty on the Amstel. Accommodation is not bundled into any delegate package: Informa Connect negotiates discounted rates at the Okura and nearby properties through a dedicated hotel booking page, available only to registered attendees. Access requirements are handled by Rachel Lewis at Informa. The in-house restaurants and private rooms carry the evening networking dinners that extend the meeting day past the formal programme.
Informa Connect is the events and specialist content division of Informa PLC, the London-listed exhibitions and information group. It operates the SuperReturn series, which spans more than 20 events a year across Europe, North America, Asia, the Middle East and Africa, segmented by geography (SuperReturn Asia, SuperReturn Africa, SuperReturn Japan) and by function or strategy (CFO/COO, Private Credit, Secondaries, Operating Partners, Family Office). SuperReturn Europe is the European geographic flagship within that portfolio.
The commercial model shapes how the event runs. As a publisher-operator rather than an association, Informa Connect earns from delegate fees and sponsorship, which is why the complimentary LP programme exists: guaranteeing allocator volume and seniority is what sustains four-figure GP ticket prices. It also explains the tiering of access, with the attendee directory and networking app reserved for full conference packages. A founding year for the Informa Connect entity in its current form is not publicly disclosed, though the conference itself dates to the start of the 2000s given the 25th edition in 2025.
Yes. SuperInvestor was renamed SuperReturn Europe in June 2025, ahead of what Informa Connect described as its 25th edition. The conference, the organiser and the November Amsterdam slot are unchanged; only the branding moved, bringing the event formally under the SuperReturn series name. Older listings, press guidelines and some organiser URLs still carry the SuperInvestor name, so search results from before mid-2025 refer to the same conference.
SuperReturn Europe is the European geographic flagship and the autumn LP-GP meeting point. SuperReturn International in Berlin each June is the global event and is substantially larger. SuperReturn Private Credit Europe and SuperReturn Secondaries Europe are London-based strategy events covering a single asset class in depth. SuperReturn CFO/COO, held at the same Amsterdam venue in October, addresses fund operations and finance functions rather than investment or fundraising. Dates, cities and attendance figures differ across all of them and are not interchangeable.
Four groups tend to find it a poor fit. Emerging managers raising funds below the minimum commitment sizes the institutional LP base can write will struggle to convert meetings. Practitioners whose mandate falls entirely outside buyout, private debt, secondaries, co-investment or the lower mid-market will find programme breadth working against relevance. Delegates who plan to attend passively get poor value, since the meeting programme rather than the content carries the return and the summits-only ticket excludes the networking layer altogether. And service providers without existing European GP or LP relationships face an audience that rewards network depth over cold approach.
Named LP organisations published by the organiser include the British Business Bank, the EBRD, the European Investment Fund, KfW Capital, APG Asset Management, PGGM Investments, LGPS Central, Ontario Teachers' Pension Plan, LHV Pension Fund, Generali Investments, NN Group, Skandia, Bpifrance, Mubadala Investment Company and the Public Investment Fund. Named GP organisations include EQT, Bridgepoint Advisors, General Atlantic, IK Partners, Altor, ICG, Tikehau Capital, The Riverside Company and Triton. The published lists are illustrative rather than exhaustive and change as registration progresses.
SuperReturn Europe is the closing act of the European autumn fundraising season and, since the SuperInvestor rename in 2025, the clearest signal Informa Connect has sent about where the brand's centre of gravity sits. The 2026 shape is a summits day on Tuesday 3 November covering fundraising, pan-European regional strategies and private debt, then three main conference days, with the qualification-gated Family Office Europe session slotted in on the Thursday. The numbers that matter are the ratio ones rather than the headline count: one delegate in three is an allocator, three quarters of those allocators are partner level or above, and the three-pass cap per LP organisation is what protects that mix. The Pan-European Exchange Summit, with its region-by-region structure, is the most interesting addition, and reads as an editorial bet that Benelux and Central and Eastern European stories now sell better than a single continental narrative. Two practical cautions. First, the summits-only ticket at £1,899 excludes ConnectMe and the attendee list, so it is an add-on and not a cheap way in. Second, the attendee directory only opens three weeks before the conference, which means meeting requests compress into a narrow window in mid-October: teams that have not built a target list before then will be bidding for the same diaries as everyone else.
Informa Connect publishes three delegate packages for 2026, all quoted in pounds sterling with 21 per cent Dutch VAT added at checkout. Early bird rates run until Friday 18 September 2026:
| Package | Dates | Early bird (to 18 Sep) | Standard | VAT at 21% |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Main Conference + Specialist Summits | 3-6 November | £4,398 | £5,398 | £923.58 |
| Main Conference only | 4-6 November | £3,099 | £3,899 | £650.79 |
| Specialist Summits Day only | 3 November | £1,899 | £2,099 | £398.79 |
The full package allows movement between all three summits on the opening day. The summits-only ticket carries an explicit restriction: it does not include access to the networking app or the attendee list, which makes it unsuitable for anyone whose objective is meetings rather than content.
Qualified institutional LPs attend free of charge, subject to the application and eligibility rules set out above, with a cap of three passes per organisation. Refunds on paid registrations take four to six weeks to process, and cancellation and substitution terms sit in the event's terms and conditions. Accommodation is booked separately at negotiated rates open only to registered delegates. Sponsorship and exhibition pricing is not publicly disclosed.
Applications are handled directly by Informa Connect through the LP team. Qualifying organisation types published by the organiser are development finance institutions, endowments, foundations, insurance companies, pension funds and sovereign wealth funds, together with banks, corporate investors, investment consultants, registered investment advisers, single family offices and wealth managers. The applicant must be a member of the investment team whose primary focus is investing in GP funds, and each organisation is limited to three complimentary passes. Applications go to lpsuperreturneurope@informa.com and should be filed well ahead of the event, since LP capacity is managed rather than open.
Friday 18 September 2026. Booking on or before that date saves up to £1,000 against the standard rate on the Main Conference plus Specialist Summits package, £800 on the Main Conference only package, and £200 on the Specialist Summits Day. All prices are before the 21 per cent VAT applied at checkout.
The full attendee directory opens on the Connect platform exactly three weeks before the first main conference day, which for the 2026 edition falls in mid-October. A preliminary snapshot of prominent attendees is visible before that. Meeting requests and scheduling run through ConnectMe, the event's networking app. Delegates holding a Specialist Summits Day pass are excluded from both the directory and the app.
The Netherlands is a Schengen Area member state, so delegates travelling from outside the Schengen zone need a Schengen visa. Given an audience drawn from more than 50 countries, applicants from markets with longer EU visa processing times should start early. Informa Connect does not publish a visa letter procedure on the event pages; such requests are handled on application to the organiser through delegate support at gfsupport@informa.com.
Yes, through the press accreditation process set out in the event's press guidelines. Applicants must show identification confirming affiliation with print, broadcast or recognised digital media, and freelancers must provide a letter of assignment or letter of intent from the commissioning outlet. The organiser can limit the number of badges issued to a single outlet, and any professional filming or photography inside conference or networking areas must be arranged in advance.
