## Quick Facts

| DATES | VENUE | ORGANISER | SCALE |
|---|---|---|---|
| 14–17 September 2026 | Hotel du Collectionneur, 51-57 rue de Courcelles, Paris | Novaspace | 600+ organisations, 60+ countries, 200+ speakers |

## Definition

World Space Business Week, formerly World Satellite Business Week and still widely known as WSBW, is the annual executive gathering of the commercial space industry, held in Paris in September. The 2026 edition runs from 14 to 17 September at the Hotel du Collectionneur. It is organised by Novaspace, the consultancy formed from the merger of Euroconsult and SpaceTec Partners. The organiser reports participation from more than 600 organisations across 60 countries with over 200 speakers. Two attached summits run inside the week: the Space Defense and Security Summit on 15 and 16 September and the Space Innovation Summit on 16 September.

## What WSBW is for

This is a deal and strategy week, not a trade show. There is no exhibition floor of any size. Delegates come to hear satellite operators, launch providers, manufacturers and constellation owners state their commercial position for the coming year, and to hold meetings around those statements. Novaspace's own market forecasts are released and debated during the week, which gives the event an analytical spine that a purely commercial conference lacks. Pricing enforces the format: a full pass costs several thousand euros, which filters attendance to decision level.

## Who attends

- Satellite operators and constellation owners
- Manufacturers, integrators and launch service providers
- Space agency and defence procurement executives
- Investors, bankers and insurers active in space finance
- Ground segment, connectivity and Earth observation service companies
- Analysts and consultants covering the sector

## The three summits

- World Space Business Week: the main executive programme across the four days
- Space Defense and Security Summit, 15 to 16 September: defence and security applications, now a growing share of European space budgets
- Space Innovation Summit, 16 September: emerging companies and technologies, including a pitch competition

## How it compares with the European space fairs

WSBW sits at the opposite end of the circuit from Space Tech Expo Europe in Bremen. Bremen is a supply chain exhibition with hundreds of exhibitors and thousands of engineers. Paris is a few hundred executives in hotel conference rooms with no stands at all. A company doing both is buying market direction in September and supply chain contracts in November.

## FAQ · Identity and audience

### Why did the name change?

The event was called World Satellite Business Week for most of its history. Novaspace rebranded it to World Space Business Week to reflect a scope that now includes launch, defence, exploration and in-orbit services rather than satellites alone.

### Is there an exhibition?

No exhibition floor in the trade-fair sense. The format is conference sessions, private meetings and hosted social events.

### Who is it not for?

- Engineers and technical buyers, who belong at Bremen or at the small satellite forums
- Startups without funding, given the delegate pricing
- Anyone looking for public sector procurement contact, better found at ESA Industry Space Days

## The organiser: Novaspace

Novaspace was formed by merging Euroconsult, the long-established French space consultancy that founded the event, with SpaceTec Partners. Its market research on satellite manufacturing, launch and connectivity underpins much of the programme.

Sponsorship packages are quoted separately.
