# Munich: EMEA events hub

Munich's calendar is smaller in event count than London, Berlin, or Paris, but carries disproportionate scale: electronica alone draws roughly 80,000 attendees across 18 exhibition halls, and SEMICON Europa, held at the same venue in the same window, adds a dedicated semiconductor-industry audience. The Industrial AI Summit Munich sits adjacent to both, reflecting the city's position as Germany's industrial and electronics manufacturing hub rather than a developer or startup centre in the Berlin mold. A smaller private capital event (PE Insights DACH) and a developer conference (International PHP Conference Munich) round out the list at a much smaller scale.

## Why Munich concentrates industrial trade fairs

Munich's exhibition infrastructure (Messe München, the venue for electronica and SEMICON Europa) and its position within Bavaria's electronics, automotive, and industrial manufacturing base explain the concentration. These are trade fairs in the classical sense, built around exhibitor floor space and industrial buyers, structurally different from the conference-and-networking format that dominates Berlin's developer calendar or London's forum circuit.

## Reading the Munich calendar

electronica and SEMICON Europa both fall in November 2026, on the same dates, reflecting their shared venue and co-located scheduling. The remaining events are spread from September 2026 through DMEA's April 2027 date, at a much smaller individual scale.

## Methodology

Events listed here are drawn from fiches with `city: Munich` and a confirmed upcoming date on Events Index. This hub does not add editorial judgement about which Munich events matter most; see the relevant sector hub (edge AI, private capital) for that analysis.
