Paris: EMEA events hub
Paris hosts three distinct circuits that rarely share an audience. Private capital and venture forums (Operating Partners Summit, Raise Summit, IPEM Global, FDDay) reflect France's dense fund manager and family office base. AI and developer events (Big Data & AI Paris, dotAI 2026, Dev With AI, ai-PULSE) draw on the city's position as one of Europe's larger AI research and startup hubs. A separate defence and aerospace calendar, Euronaval, the Paris Air Show at Le Bourget, Milipol Paris, and the Forum Innovation Défense, ties to France's role as a major European defence industrial base and arms exporter.
Why these three circuits coexist
Unlike London, where finance and technology events blend into overlapping audiences, Paris keeps its circuits more separated. Private capital events concentrate around France Invest and the LP-GP forum tradition, largely independent of the AI conference calendar. The defence and aerospace events (Euronaval, the Paris Air Show, Milipol) are tied to specific biennial or multi-year cycles rather than an annual rhythm: Euronaval and the Paris Air Show in particular alternate with other European defence and aerospace hubs, so a given year's Paris calendar can look heavier or lighter than the last depending on that cycle.
Reading the Paris calendar
Most of the AI and private capital events on this list run between July and December 2026. The aerospace and defence events skew later: the Paris Air Show at Le Bourget and Milipol both fall in 2027, reflecting their longer multi-year cycles rather than a gap in the 2026 calendar.
Methodology
Events listed here are drawn from fiches with city: Paris and a confirmed upcoming date on Events Index. This hub does not add editorial judgement about which Paris events matter most; see the relevant sector hub (private capital, developer AI, defence) for that analysis.
