Definition

The PERE Europe Forum is the annual European gathering of PERE, the private real estate title of the London publisher PEI Group. It brings institutional investors, fund managers, developers and their advisers together for two days of panels, fireside chats, investor-only sessions and networking around European private real estate capital formation. Twenty editions were held between 2006 and June 2025. The 21st, on 15 and 16 September 2026, is the first held in September, the first at Convene 22 Bishopsgate, and the first co-located with the Infrastructure Investor: Investor Forum, which runs in the same building on the same two days under a shared real assets plenary. It sits in the autumn segment of the private capital circuit.

What changed between the 2025 and 2026 editions

Anyone who attended before 2026 should not rely on memory for the logistics. Three things moved at once.

The date moved by three months. PEI Group ran the 20th annual forum on 10 and 11 June 2025; the 21st runs on 15 and 16 September 2026, which places it after the summer break rather than before it, and inside the same September fortnight as the rest of the London autumn calendar.

The venue changed. The June 2025 edition was held at the London Marriott Hotel Grosvenor Square in Mayfair. The 2026 edition is at Convene 22 Bishopsgate, in the City, a purpose-built conference venue rather than a hotel ballroom.

The audience widened. For the first time the forum shares its dates, its venue and part of its programme with the Infrastructure Investor: Investor Forum. Day one carries a joint real assets plenary, and a lunch is reserved for LPs active across both asset classes. A real estate allocator attending in 2026 will be in a room that also contains infrastructure managers, which was not true of the twenty editions before it.

The 2026 edition: 15 and 16 September at Convene 22 Bishopsgate

The forum opens at 08:00 on Tuesday 15 September and closes at 15:15 on Wednesday 16 September. PEI Group publishes figures of 200+ industry leaders, 80+ LPs and 40+ speakers for the PERE side; the co-located Infrastructure Investor: Investor Forum publishes a separate figure of 300+ senior industry leaders for the joint platform. Both sets are organiser claims and are not independently audited.

Day one opens with a keynote from Wei Li, global chief investment strategist at BlackRock, moderated by PERE editor-in-chief Jonathan Brasse, then moves through a manager panel on the strength of the real estate rebound and an investor panel on allocation strategy. A fireside chat with Alex Knapp of Norges Bank covers Europe as a deployment destination. The afternoon runs residential and living, industrial and logistics, operational real estate, then the joint real assets plenary and a networking reception from 17:20.

Day two is chaired by Rocco Fioretti of Threadmark and is weighted toward capital structure and specialist strategies: value creation, a fireside chat with Matt Day of the National Housing Bank, a credit panel on refinancing and the rise of private lenders, a market update presented by PEI Group's Kavinder Tack, then European REITs, private wealth, and a closing panel on data centres as a real assets category.

What the format includes

Whether a matchmaking application is provided for scheduling bilateral meetings is not stated on the official event pages, and no per-delegate meeting quota is published.

Who attends the PERE Europe Forum

The forum is a poor fit for anyone whose real estate exposure runs through listed REITs rather than closed-end private funds, and for managers with no live European fundraise. The complimentary pass is explicitly closed to firms that engage in third-party fundraising or collect fees, so placement agents and advisers pay.

The venue: Convene 22 Bishopsgate

Convene 22 Bishopsgate occupies roughly 38,000 square feet across two floors of 22 Bishopsgate, one of the tallest towers in the City of London, with a Liverpool Street, London EC2N 4BQ address. The site has ten meeting rooms, the largest seating around 405 theatre style, and can run up to seven concurrent events, which is what makes the 2026 co-location workable: two forums, a shared plenary and several investor-only rooms in one building. The City location puts participants inside walking distance of the fund managers, banks and law firms they are likely to meet, so the day extends easily into side meetings. Which rooms PEI Group has taken for the 2026 edition is not published.

The organiser: PEI Group

PEI Group is a London publisher and events business covering private markets. It was formed as PEI Media in November 2001 and published its first magazine, Private Equity International, in December of that year. It now runs more than ten titles, including PERE for private real estate, Infrastructure Investor, Private Debt Investor, Private Funds CFO, Responsible Investor and New Private Markets, with over 500 staff across seven offices. Since 2024 it has been backed by Bridgepoint, through Bridgepoint Europe VII, having previously been held by Bridgepoint Development Capital.

That portfolio explains the shape of the events programme. The PERE Europe Forum is the real estate title's European flagship, and the group runs comparable strategy-specific gatherings elsewhere on the calendar: the Infrastructure Investor Global Summit in Berlin each March, the PDI Europe Summit in London for private debt, and the Women in Private Markets Summit in December, also at a Convene venue in London. PERE itself also runs PERE America in New York in November, a Women in Real Estate Forum in London in December, and Asian editions in Singapore, Tokyo and Seoul. Other autumn dates in the same window are listed on the upcoming events page.

Press interest and media coverage

Coverage of this forum comes overwhelmingly from the organiser's own titles, and that is worth stating plainly rather than dressing up.

The first and dominant angle is house coverage. PERE is a PEI Group title, and its editorial staff work the event rather than report on it from outside: the published 2026 agenda has editor-in-chief Jonathan Brasse moderating the opening BlackRock keynote and PEI Group's Kavinder Tack delivering a market update on day two, per the agenda on peievents.com. PERE's editorial site has also moved: perenews.com now redirects to pei-privaterealestate.com, where the forum listings and fundraising reports sit.

The second angle is speaking notices published by participating firms, which is not independent press but is the main trace the forum leaves outside PEI Group. Katten Muchin Rosenman published a notice that its financial markets and funds partner Edward A. Tran moderated the session "Europe on the road to recovery" at the June 2025 edition, with the date, time and venue, on katten.com. Similar notices from advisory and placement firms are the usual pattern around each edition.

No independent third-party reporting from the forum was found during verification. Searches across IPE Real Assets, React News, Green Street News and Bisnow returned no articles filed from a PERE Europe Forum edition. The number of accredited journalists and any figure for media attendance are not publicly disclosed by PEI Group, and no such figure should be inferred from the organiser's attendance claims.

FAQ · Identity and audience

What is the PERE Europe Forum and who is it for?

It is PEI Group's annual two-day European forum for private real estate, run under its PERE title and held on 15 and 16 September 2026 in London. It is built for institutional allocators to private real estate and for the managers, developers, placement agents and advisers who raise capital from them. The 2026 edition is co-located with the Infrastructure Investor: Investor Forum, so the room is broader than in previous years.

Which edition is the 2026 forum?

The 21st. PEI Group described the 10 and 11 June 2025 gathering at the London Marriott Hotel Grosvenor Square as the 20th annual PERE Europe Forum, and earlier editions were numbered 18th in 2023 and 19th in 2024 on the same basis.

Why did the forum move from June to September?

PEI Group has not published a stated reason. What is documented is the outcome: the 2026 edition sits on the same dates and in the same venue as the Infrastructure Investor: Investor Forum, with a shared real assets plenary and a shared LP lunch, which the June slot did not allow.

How does it differ from other PEI Group events?

PEI Group runs one flagship forum per asset class. This is the private real estate one for Europe. Private debt has the PDI Europe Summit, infrastructure has the Infrastructure Investor Global Summit in Berlin and the London Investor Forum, and the group also runs cross-strategy events such as the Women in Private Markets Summit. The distinction is the LP population: allocators come to PERE Europe with a real estate mandate specifically.

What scale should attendees expect?

PEI Group states 200+ industry leaders, 80+ LPs and 40+ speakers for the PERE programme, and the co-located infrastructure forum states 300+ senior industry leaders across the joint platform. These are organiser figures. Breakdowns by manager type, LP domicile or assets represented are not publicly disclosed.

Editorial take

Twenty editions established this forum as the June checkpoint for European private real estate relationships; the 21st changes the slot, the building and the composition of the room in a single move. The interesting question for 2026 is not the agenda, which is published and conventional, but whether allocators who came for real estate accept sitting in a real assets plenary, because that is the bet PEI Group has made by pairing the two forums.

How to register and what it costs

Registration runs through the official event page at peievents.com, with a booking link for paid delegates. PEI Group does not publish delegate rates, sponsorship packages or early bird deadlines: pricing is quoted on request through the checkout page or by contacting the events team, and no price for the 2026 edition was publicly disclosed at verification.

A limited number of complimentary passes is available to qualifying institutional investors. PEI Group names the eligible categories as foundations, endowments and trusts, insurance companies, single family offices, sovereign wealth funds and pension funds, and sets two conditions: the applicant must be actively making fund commitments, and must not engage in third-party fundraising activities or collect fees. That second condition excludes placement agents, funds of funds charging fees and advisory firms from the free pass, whatever their allocator credentials. Applications are reviewed by the organiser, so the pass is not automatic. Sponsorship enquiries go to PEI Group's real estate business development contact, and speaking enquiries to its producer, both named on the event page.

FAQ · Access and practicalities

How do institutional investors get a free pass?

By applying through the investor form on the official event page and passing the organiser's review. Eligibility is limited to foundations, endowments, trusts, insurance companies, single family offices, sovereign wealth funds and pension funds that are actively committing to funds and do not raise third-party capital or charge fees. The number of complimentary passes is described as limited, and no quota is published.

Are delegate prices published for 2026?

No. Neither standard delegate rates nor early bird tiers are shown on the public pages. Anyone who is not eligible for a complimentary pass has to request a quote through the booking flow or the events team.

Does the ticket cover both co-located forums?

The two forums share a venue, dates and a joint real assets plenary, and PEI Group markets them as a single platform for cross-sector access. The precise pass rules governing entry to the infrastructure sessions are not published on either event page, so this should be confirmed with the organiser before booking.

What should attendees prepare in advance?

The value of the two days sits in the breaks, the day one reception and the investor-only sessions, so outreach should be done before arrival. Deadlines for submitting meeting requests, the platform used, and whether any bilateral scheduling tool exists are not publicly disclosed.

Where is the venue and how is it reached?

Convene 22 Bishopsgate, Liverpool Street, London EC2N 4BQ, inside the 22 Bishopsgate tower in the City. Liverpool Street station serves it directly, with Elizabeth line, Underground and national rail connections, and Bank station is a short walk. Other London dates in the same season are listed on the London events page.
